The Commonwealth Bank Staff Community Fund was founded in 1917 and is Australia’s longest running employee workplace giving program. Current and retired employees donate more than $1 million each year to the health and wellbeing of Australian children.
Local Grants
The Local Grants program supports the heath and wellbeing of Australian children by allocating grants of up to $10,000 to community organisations. In 2007, the Local Grants program delivered more than 100 grants and contributed more than $800,000 to local community projects.
Humour Foundation
We’ve been the principal partner of the Humour Foundation’s Clown Doctors for almost 10 years. Clown Doctors bring fun and humour to children’s hospitals around Australia by using magic, mime and mimicry.
Midnight Basketball
Midnight Basketball engages youth in need of opportunity through sport and educational activities. Held during school terms on a Friday or Saturday night, the young people play basketball and participate in workshops designed to address issues such as financial literacy, drugs, alcohol, anger management and finding employment.
