I refer to an article that was published in your paper on Monday 26 April 2004 under the headline "Your redundancy payments may get lost in reshuffle" and would like to correct the misreporting on the position of the Commonwealth Bank.
The article indicates that the Bank is involved in a case in the Federal Court defending action commenced by the FSU in relation to former Bank employees who chose to resign from the Bank and accept employment with EDS Australia in 1997.
What the article does not tell your readers is that on the 18 March 2004, the Federal Court dismissed the proceedings commenced by the FSU against the Bank. This decision by the Federal Court reaffirmed similar decisions previously handed down on this matter and vindicated the actions of the Bank in vigorously defending its position.
